Harold Leonard Owens

Harold Owens, 89 of Seymour, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Seymour.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church with Benny Archer and Conchita Torrez officiating.  Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery in Munday under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Harold was born August 12, 1934 in Crowell to George and Grace Richardson Owens.  He attended school in Crowell.  As a young man, Harold worked on a harvest crew with his brother, driving trucks.  In about 1969, he started work for Charlie Myers Grain, driving trucks and as a diesel mechanic, retiring in 2020.  Harold married Rosann Nelson in 1976 in Munday and was a member of the First Christian Church in Seymour.

He is survived by his wife, Rosann Owens of Seymour; a daughter, Charlotte Locke and Ronnie Petters of Granbury; a son, Wayne Owens of Haslett; a step-son, Darrell Reid of Iowa Park; 4 grandchildren, Cody and Stephanie Petters, Jesse Owens, Kaylie Owens and Macey Owens and 3 great grandchildren, Avery, Rylee and Kallie.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
