Alice (Blackburn) Mccauley

Alice McCauley, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 in Seymour at the age of 91.

Services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Seymour Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Gage officiating.  Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Alice was born April 18, 1932 in Seymour to Lon and Josephine Blackburn.  She loved spending time with family and was very loyal to friends and family.  Her family were charter members of the United Methodist Church in Seymour.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Josephine Blackburn; 3 sisters, Katherine Warren, Doris Unsell and Betty Grandbery and a daughter, Linda Samples.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen Smith; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Jeter, Michael Fuentes and husband, James and Kimber Morley and husband, Justin; 6 great grandchildren, Riley, Dominic, Raymond, Cooper, Harper and Porter and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to the Seymour Methodist Church.
