Audrey M Holt

Audrey Merle Holt, 90 of Clovis, NM, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Lubbock.

Services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at the Vera Methodist Church with Rev. Rex Holt, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Vera Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

Audrey was born in Vera to Andrew and Narcie Ward Nichols. The same day she graduated from Vera High School, Audrey married Rex Holt, Sr. on May 23, 1947 in Vera. The couple was married for 67 years. The union produced three children, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The first 35 years of their marriage were spent in Abilene. The couple then moved to Melrose, NM, where they lived for 20 years and the last several years were spent in Clovis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Clark and Narcie Ward Nichols; her beloved husband, Rex on November 8, 2014; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

She is survived by a son, Rev. Rex Holt, Jr. and wife, Shirley of Clovis; 2 daughters, Janis Schaffner of Clovis and Jo Ann Timberlake and husband, Bob of Lewisville; a sister, Jean Rogers; 5 grandchildren, Jon and James Schaffner, Jason Holt, Laura English and Daniel Timberlake; and 11 great grandchildren, Jacob and Waverly Schaffner, Nora, Liam and Oliver Schaffner, Charlotte, Sterling and August English and Poema, Isla and Paxton Timberlake.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
