Barbara Ann Coltharp, known affectionately as Mimi, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the age of 85 in Seymour, Texas.  She was born on December 13, 1937 in Stephenville, Texas and lived a life filled with love and devotion.

Mimi was a beloved mother, wife, aunt and Mimi who cherished her family.  Her unwavering love and support for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren knew no bounds.  She was always there, cheering them on at livestock showings, basketball, football, soccer and baseball games.  Mimi’s warm heart extended to the kitchen, where she delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones.

Her faith in Jesus was a cornerstone of her life.  Mimi dedicated her time to teaching children about Him, nurturing their spiritual growth.  For many years, she served as a dedicated Sunday School teacher in the children’s area of First Baptist Church in Seymour, Texas.  Her love for Jesus was evident in all she did.

Mimi had a knack for bringing people together through the simple pleasure of playing cards.  Whether it was a spirited game of Go Fish with her grandchildren or engaging in her cherished Wednesday Canasta sessions with her dearest friends, Mimi created lasting memories through the joy of companionship.

Throughout her career, Mimi made a meaningful impact as a secretary and teacher’s aide in the Seymour school district.  Her dedication and warm-hearted nature endeared her to students and colleagues alike.

Mimi leaves behind her beloved husband, Gary Coltharp; her children, Dan Coltharp of Atlanta, GA, Randy and Cindy Coltharp of Seymour and Mitzi and Patrick Daniel of Godley, Texas; 5 adoring grandsons, Cody and Lacy Coltharp, Cory and Tamie Coltharp, Caleb Coltharp, Callan and Tatum Coltharp and Ty and Elli Robertson; Mimi’s great grandchildren, Kache, Caden, Paislee, Hadley, Piper, Krosston, Hollyn, Ledger and Lawson brought her immense joy.  Additionally she is survived by a brother, Doyle Hale of Corpus Christi, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
