Betty J Moore

Betty Jane Moore, 75, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., at the First Christian Church with Benny Archer officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Betty was born June 24, 1941 in Ramsey, Illinois to Cecil Burl and Virginia Ira Taylor Beck. She graduated from Ramsey Community High School in 1958. She moved to Seymour on March 26, 1992. She worked as a supervisor and a manager at Allsup's Convenience Store from 1985-1999. Betty worked as a caregiver in the Metroplex from 1999-2015. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Stout and her son, Dale Allen Moore.

Survivors include a son, Donald Light, Jr. and wife, Alice of Wichita Falls; a grandson, Arron Moore and wife, Kendra of Joshua; a granddaughter, Jamie Freshour and husband, Dustin of Oregon; 4 great grandchildren, Alexus, Abigail, Timothy and Kampbell; 2 sisters, Dorothy Brownbeck of St. Louis and Peggy Gossett of Kentucky and 2 brothers, Jerry Lee Beck of Wisconsin and Jimmy Stout of St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
