Billy Benge

Billy Benge, 88 of Seymour passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Seymour.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Riverview Cemetery with Rob Stevenson officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Billy was born February 7, 1929 in Red Springs to Simon King and Gladys Hatter Benge. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1950-1952 in the 2nd Armed Division, Combat Command Regiment. He was long-time Seymour business owner and a farmer. Billy was preceded in death by a brother, James Benge and 2 sisters, Aline Higgins Plunkett and Glenna Janes.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patsy Benge of Seymour; 2 sons, Randy Benge and family of Seymour and Shawn Benge and family of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Betty Dutton of Greenville; 2 grandchildren, Brandon Benge of Seymour and Brittany Benge-Ames of Iowa Park; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
