Carl W. "Snoony" Vaden, 81 of Seymour passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 in Seymour.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Woodmen of the World Cemetery with Dr. David Warren officiating under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Snoony was born January 2, 1938 in Seymour to Edward and Ida Mae Thorn Vaden. He was a 1957 graduate of Seymour High School and served in the U.S. Army. Snoony worked as a pumper in the oil field for 50 years, retiring at the age of 74. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ida Mae Vaden and 2 sisters, Elaine Lewis and Patsy Cassle.

He is survived by his son, Marty Vaden and wife, Paula of Seymour; 2 brothers, Ed Vaden and Jimmy and Barbara Vaden all of Wichita Falls; 2 sisters, Neva Elliott and Nancy Davis both of Seymour; 7 grandchildren, Cole Chandler, Kristin Vaden, Devon Vaden, Haley Vaden, Paul Silva, Jorge Silva and Sam Silva; and 1 great grandson, Carson Leal.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
