Christopher Alan Witt, 39 of Seymour, Texas, returned to his Heavenly Father on February 14, 2023. He was born September 30, 1983 in Seymour, the youngest of four children born to Nathan Len and Dena Gay Hall Witt.
Christopher was a 2003 graduate of Seymour High School and had many fond memories of his years there. He enjoyed watching tv, playing video games and spending time with his nephews and niece. He loved watching family home movies and talking about his memories.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dena; his paternal grandparents, Cledia Hutchison Witt and Leonard Witt; maternal grandfather, Glen Harris Hall and 2 aunts, Leah Hall Eskamire and Selinda Witt Larson. He leaves behind his father, Nathan Witt; 2 sisters, Jennifer Elliott and husband, Justin and Stephanie Johnson and husband, William (Monty); a brother, Jonathan; his maternal grandmother, Betty Brigham; uncle, Charles Hall and wife, Patricia; 5 nephews, Michael, Cameron, Conner, Bradley and Benjamin and a niece, Cooper as well as numerous cousins.
Christopher had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of a loving Heavenly Father. He believed in the power of the atonement and in the resurrection. He would tell his dad, “If I die first, Mom and I can wait for you. If you die first, you and mom can wait for me”.
He was born with muscular dystrophy and his health suffered throughout his life but he never felt sorry for himself. He took things as they came without complaint. He was an inspiration to his family of how to deal with adversity. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in the Westover Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
