Dortha Jo Conner, 89, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. , at the First Baptist Church with Sid Winn, officiating. Burial will be in the Bomarton Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

Dortha was born August 12, 1926 in Mary's Creek to Jody and Merle Sims Hodges. She attended Mary's Creek School. She married Loyd Bert Conner of February 14, 1944 in Seymour. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Bomarton Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 12, 2003; her parents, Jody and Merle Hodges; and a nephew, Rodney Hodges.

She is survived by a son, Rex Conner of Seymour; 2 granddaughters, Cheri Zacharias and husband, Troy of McGregor and Candi Hamilton and husband, Joel of McGregor; 6 great grandchildren, Caitlin, Conner, Cade, Cameron, Carson and Collin; a sister, Jerry Brasher and husband, Dwayne of Tyler; a brother, Charles Hodges and wife, Stella of Huffman; a niece, Jodi Dana; 3 nephews, Wayne Bland, Randy Hodges and Russell Hodges; and numerous other close family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday , at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church, Seymour, Texas.
