Edwin Joe Kolacek, 78, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Seymour.
Mass will be held
Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Deacon Jim Novak, officiating. Burial will be in the Bomarton Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Ed was born August 7, 1936 in Seymour to Steve and Bessie Brosch Kolacek. He attended Mary's Creek schools through the 8
th
grade and graduated from Seymour High School. He worked in the oil field and in the Copper Mine in Silver City, N.M., for 7years, but spent most of his life farming in Baylor County. Ed married Delores Pustejovsky on January 2, 1960 in Stamford. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, as well as the Son's of the American Legion and KJT. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Bessie Kolacek and a daughter, Theresa Kolacek.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Kolacek of Seymour; 4 sons, Johnny Kolacek and wife, Rhonda of Kansas, Donald Kolacek and wife, Doreen of Seymour, Ronnie Kolacek and wife, Karen of Scurry and Frankie Kolacek of Seymour; a daughter, Kathy Fowler and husband, Gary of Throckmorton; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at
6:00 p.m.

Monday
at the funeral home, followed by a Wake service beginning at
7:00 p.m.
, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
The family suggests memorials to the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department of Hospice of Wichita Falls.
