Ernest "Stogie" Storek, Sr., 78, of Seymour, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 in Seymour.
Graveside services were held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., in the SPJST Cemetery in Seymour, with Benny Archer, officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Ernest "Stogie" Storek, Sr., was born November 25, 1936 in Seymour to Frank and Marie Hostas Storek, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Jane Lawson on September 26, 1961 in Goree. Upon discharge from the Army, he operated a dozer for J.T. Martin. Stogie retired from Baylor County, Precinct 4, then went to work for John Gray Equipment, once again, as a dozer operator. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Frank Storek, Jr. and Emil Storek.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Storek of Seymour; a daughter, Susan Haynes and husband, Anthony of Vernon; 2 sons, Ernie Storek and wife, Trish and Bryan Storek, all of Seymour; 5 grandchildren, Marissa Haynes, Hayden Haynes, Callie Storek, Corey Storek and Erica Storek; and 1 great grandchild, Jake Reed.
