Geneva Mcmorris

Geneva McMorris, 94, of Wichita Falls, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 in Wichita Falls.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m., at the Calvary Baptist Church with Benny Archer and Rev. Russell Roberts, officiating. Burial will be in the Bomarton Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Geneva was born April 3, 1921 in Bomarton to Lazarus and Dallas Clyde Rainwater Pierce. She married Tom Junior McMorris on August 18, 1940 in Walters, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2007. She lived in Bomarton most of her life, moving to Wichita Falls in July of 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Geneva also served as the treasurer for the Bomarton Baptist Church, a member of the Bomarton Home Demonstration Club and the Bomarton Cemetery Association. She wrote the Bomarton News for the Baylor County Banner for many years and loved working the sales at Montgomery Tractor. She was always in attendance when one of her grandchildren or great grandchildren participated or were involved in anything. She was a godly woman and the glue of her family. Her life was a living testimony that led many to their own personal relationship with Christ.
She is survived by a daughter, Neva Thorn and husband, Danny of Wichita Falls; a son, Donnie McMorris of Austin; a special daughter-in-law, Billie Ann McMorris of Seymour; and a sister, Billie Edwards of Seymour. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren , 1 great grandchild and when Neva married Danny, she gained more grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. , Tuesday at the funeral home
The family suggests memorials to the Bomarton Cemetery Association.
