Glenna Worthington

Glenna Worthington, 86 of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour with Rev. Russell Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Glenna was born December 18, 1939 in Seymour to Carl and Lovelle Tidwell Chandler and was a 1956 graduate of Seymour High School. She married Billy Joe Worthington in 1958 in Seymour. He passed away on April 15, 2020. Glenna worked as an LVN at the nursing home in Seymour, the State Hospital, the Mexia State Hospital and at Texas Health Hugley in Burleson. She was a member of the Northeast Baptist Church while her children were growing up and later in life, she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lovelle Chandler and 2 sons, John Worthington and William Worthington.

She is survived by her 5 children, Laura Reed, Curtis Worthington, Terry and Julie Worthington, Karrie and Tom Copeland and Monty Worthington; a brother, Charles Chandler; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
