Helen Shanz, 90, of Goree, went home on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 to a reunion with her mother and dad, Mattie Wright Trussell and William Floyd Trussell, a brother, Bill Trussell, a sister, Mable Pauline Trussell, two daughters, Shirley Rogers and Marilyn Carnes, a grandson, James Rogers, Jr., and three husbands.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. , in the Riverview Cemetery in Seymour with Brother Sammy Wade, Sister Camilla Wade and Kay Pruitt, officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

She was born October 18, 1924 in Lamar County, Texas.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Kay Pruitt and Fay Vickery; a daughter, Edith Carter and husband, Alan; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Duckworth Jefferies and husband, Kevin, Mike Duckworth and wife, Sharon and Curtis Rogers and wife, Cynthia; 6 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. , Sunday , at the funeral home.
