Idell (Richardson) Mitchell

Idell Mitchell, 81 of Seymour, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 in Burleson.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with Willie J. McKinney officiating.  Burial will be in the Old Seymour Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Idell was born April 8, 1941 in Cass County, Texas to J.T. and Eva Fields Richardson.  She married Elijah Mitchell in 1957 in Seymour.  She was a homemaker.  Idell was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Mitchell; her parents, J.T. and Eva Richardson, 2 sons, Robert Mayse and Elijah Mitchell, Jr.; 2 daughters, Connie Fobbs and Arlene Johnson and 3 grandchildren, Ericka Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell and Joshua McKinney.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Georgia McKinney of Seymour, Susan Johnson of Elgin, Illinois and Brenda Thomas of Lawton; a brother, L.J. Richardson of Sacramento, CA; 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
