James R Graves

James Rudolph "Jimmy" Graves, 87 of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in Seymour.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Vera Cemetery with Benny Archer officiating under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Jimmy was born December 23, 1931 in Englewood, Tennessee to James Farley and Dorra Winnie Shadden Graves. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Jimmy married Pauline Chandler in 1958 in Las Vegas. He moved to California and worked for Douglas Aircraft, Boeing Aircraft and retired from McDonald Douglas Aircraft. After retirement, Jimmy and Pauline moved to Seymour in 2001. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Gilbert Graves and Lenon Graves.

Survivors include 2 step-daughters, Christy Hickman and Mary Ruth Marko; a brother, Dee Witt Graves; a sister, Lorene Black and many special friends.
