Janice D Haynes

April 6, 1944 — July 18, 2018

Janice Donnell Haynes, 74, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at her home in Seymour, Texas after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the Riverview Cemetery with Benny Archer officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

She was born on April 6, 1944 in Paducah, Texas to P.W. and Hazel Peacock Donnell. Janice will be remembered for her strong work ethic and a passion for working in her yard and planting trees, shrubs and flowers. She worked many years as an LVN and instinctively utilized her nursing skills throughout her life to care for others. Her and her husband, Ray's, home was often the hub of family get-togethers during the holidays and summers for watermelon, homemade ice cream, cousins playing in the water sprinklers and competitive games of croquet. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life and they treasure memories of sleepovers at Granny's house and her insistence that she accompany them to the library, museums or activities that would expand their world. They will certainly remember that getting an education was of paramount importance to her. She was truly a lifelong learner. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, David Donnell and Gary Donnell.

Janice is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ray Lynn Haynes; 2 daughters, Dr. Delesa Styles and husband, Jeff of Fredericksburg and Kim Morgan and husband, Richard of Seymour; 2 brothers, Jim Donnell and Mike Donnell; 2 Sisters, her twin, Janett Mayers of Seymour and Vicki Cheatham of Milford; 6 grandchildren, Emily and Justin Ermis, Jonathon and Brittany Morgan, Jarrett Styles, Peyton and Matt Silva, Corbin Styles and Addison Styles; 6 great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia, Amelia and Magnolia Ermis and Allie Morgan and a soon to be born great grandson.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
