Janice Sue Everett Hembree

Janice Sue Everett Hembree, 80 of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 in Altus.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Masonic Cemetery in Seymour, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Jan was born on September 1, 1946 in Plains, Texas to Jim and Vivian Pulis Everett. She married Delmer Lee Hembree on May 5, 1965 in Brownfield. Jan worked as a dietician and was a member of the TEA Plainview, the Seymour Hospital Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society and the Assembly of God Church. She spent a lifetime helping others, raising her children and helping to raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by all of her family.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Vivian Everett; her husband, Lee Hembree; 5 sons, Delmer, Jr., Jimmy, Dennis Jimmy Pace and Bensy; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her 4 daughters, Tammy Couch, Sharon Smith, Mary Hogue and Melanie Hembree; her son, Dalton Hembree; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
