Jannie Grimes

Jannie Smith Grimes, 64 of Seymour, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 in Seymour.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., at Archer Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Jannie was born on April 20, 1962 in Seymour to Robert Alvin and Johnny Mae Pace Smith, Sr. She attended Seymour Schools and worked as a homemaker. Jannie was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother and great grandmother. She spent her life giving of herself, whether in time or help, to others.

She is survived by her 5 children, Jerry Grimes, Jr., Cliffton Grimes, Windy Grimes, Junior Rogers and Dallas Beard; 6 siblings, Robin Gonzales, Robert Smith, Jr., Doyle Smith, Gracie Lynch, Henry Smith and Tina Pruitt; 16 grandchildren, Isaac, Jacob, Noah, Stormy, Jeremiah, Xavier, Baylee, Austin, Cassie, Adam, Alyssa, Gina, Michael, Tre, Kevin and Katelyn and 7 great grandchildren.
