Johnny Bullard

Johnny Bullard, 90 of Seymour, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 in Seymour.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Riverview Cemetery with Benny Archer officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Johnny was born October 28, 1927 in Scipio, Oklahoma, the youngest of 5 children born to Joseph and Jonnie Sherwood Bullard. He worked as a mechanic for Chrysler, where he learned about transmissions. He started building transmissions in his backyard, eventually owning a transmission shop. Johnny also boxed professionally for a time. He spent many years as the pastor of the Northeast Baptist Church. Johnny married Leah Raye Morrison on May 28, 1964 by Marrying Sam in Durant, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah Raye on December 4, 2012; a son, James Thomas Reynolds, III on May 29, 1995 and a daughter, Linda Carol Tucker on October 15, 2007.

He is survived by 5 daughters, Tammy Clairday of San Antonio, Barbara Biggs, Teri Haak, Tamara Rogers and Teresa Martinez all of Seymour; 23 grandchildren, one of which, Carrie Leah Raye Reynolds, he raised as his own; and numerous great grandchildren.
