June Standlee, 61, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Seymour.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church with Benny Archer and Deacon Jim Novak, officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
June was born October 27, 1953 in Los Angeles, California to James and Doris Simmons Gillig. Her mother passed away when June was very young, so she was raised by her father, James and step-mother, Lottie. In her younger years, she was a homemaker, later she received her L.V.N. and R.N. degrees from Vernon Regional Junior College. She worked at the Olney Hospital and the Seymour Nursing Home. June married James Standlee on February 15, 1986 at the Methodist Church in Seymour. She had a passion for photography and absolutely loved her horses and her dogs. June was preceded in death by her mother, father, James Gillig and step-mother, Lottie Gillig.
She is survived by her husband, James Standlee of Seymour; a son, Jamie Wynne of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Kim Wynne of Tucson, Arizona; 3 grandchildren, Jade Wynne, Isabella Detorrice-Wynne and Addison Detorrice-Wynne; 2 brothers, Steve Voglesang and Butch Voglesang; and 2 sisters, Lisa Voglesand and Linda Powers.
Visitation will be from
6:30 until 7:30 p.m.
, Monday at the funeral home.
