Kari A Burns

Kari Ann Burns, 41, of Seymour, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 in Seymour.

Service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. David Warren, officiating. Burial will be in the Henson Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Kari was born August 30, 1974 in Corona, California to Duane and Judy Adams Ray. She was a graduate of Norco High School in Norco California. She married Wesley Burns on November 8, 2003 in Seymour. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father.

Kari was a loving wife, mother, daughter, daughter in law and friend. Nothing made her happier than being with her family. She was full of laughter and fun. Kari was a light to her children. She spent hours sitting in the floor playing with her kids. Dolls, tea parties and kitchen with her girls and trucks with her boys were among her favorite pastimes. She will be fondly remembered by any child who knew her. She could and did create anything she saw and loved. Wall hangings, painting, and arranging things were among her many talents. There wasn’t anything she couldn't make with an old piece of wood and some bright paint. Kari was a devoted wife to Wes. She enjoyed their many travels to ropings and rodeos with him and their children.
She was a great friend to many in this world and will be greatly missed by all. “Friday’s here but Sunday’s comin’.”

She is survived by her husband, Wesley Burns of Seymour; 3 daughters, Emily McKiernan of Seymour and Tristan Burns and Ashlee Burns, both of Goree; 2 sosn, Thomas McKiernan of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Talon Burns of Goree; her mother, Judy Ray Hansford and husband, Boots of Mingus; a brother, Duane Ray and wife, Amanda of Mingus; and her father and mother-in-law, Laprell and Brenda Burns of Goree.
