Larry Shawn Daniel

Shawn Daniel, 51 of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in Seymour.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Larry Shawn Daniel was born September 17, 1970 in Vernon to Cotton and Billie Turnbow Daniel.  He was a 1989 graduate of Harold High School.  Shawn worked on many ranches throughout his life, including Waggoner Ranch, Pitchfork Ranch, T2 Ranch and several ranches in the Panhandle.  He enjoyed cowboying and spending time with family and friends.  He loved football and his favorite team was the Redskins.  Shawn was known for how well he drug calves and was especially proud of being a member of the Prothro Landess Ranch Rodeo Team that competed in the 2001 World Championship Ranch Rodeo.

He is survived by his son, Monty Daniel, who he called Taz, and his wife, Amanda of Lubbock; his daughter, Hayley Daniel, who he called Shiggy, of Lubbock; 2 grandsons, Casey Mack Daniel and Jason Paul Daniel; a brother, Eddie Daniel and wife, Julie of Seymour; a sister, Sherrie Campsey and husband, Chet of Vernon; 5 nieces and 3 nephews.
