Pero Elliott

November 9, 1963 — April 28, 2025

Seymour

Larry Woodrow “Pero” Elliott, 61 of Seymour, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 28, 2025, after his courageous battle with cancer.

Pero was born on November 9, 1963 in Seymour to Woodrow Wilson and Neva Nell Vaden Elliott. He attended Seymour High School. Throughout his life, he was a cowboy, cattle hauler, truck driver and avid “junker”. He was a loving father, grandpa, brother, uncle and son. Pero never came across an animal he didn’t love or have to have. “The more, the better” was his motto. He loved spending time with all of his two and four legged critters.

Pero was preceded in death by his daughter, Toni Michelle Elliott; his father, Woodrow Elliott; 5 brothers, James Elliott, David Scott, Woodie Elliott, Jim Latham and Billy Latham; 2 sisters, Phyllis Thompson and Eula Lee Elliott and his grandparents, Edward and Ida May Vaden and Ma and Pa Henderson.

He is survived by his companion and partner, Misty Elliott; his mother, Neva Elliott; a brother, Randy and Judy Elliott; his sister, Leann and Jerry Arnold and numerous nieces and nephews, family members and many friends.

At Pero’s request, there will be no funeral service. He felt that there was no need for mourning of his passing. Instead, we will have a Celebration of Life as he wanted everyone to spend time with family and friends, living and loving life as he did. He was a beautiful and special soul and will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

In lieu of a traditional funeral, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., at the Rock Inn Café in Seymour. A hamburger meal will be served. Please make sure to have your fondest funny memories of Pero. We would love for you to share them.
