Larry D. Walling of Seymour, Texas was called home on August 16, 2019.
A Celebration of Larry's life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Seymour on September 7th at 2 pm. The family will have a private graveside burial.
Larry was born on October 20, 1938 in the Sunset Community of Knox County, Texas to R.J. and Treasure (Voss) Walling. Larry graduated from Seymour High School and married Gloria Ann Whitten on September 21, 1957 and she preceded him in death on October 21, 1996.
He spent most of his life in Seymour and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Throughout the years, Larry has enjoyed rodeo photography, construction projects, custom knife building, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing and volunteering for activities that his children were involved in. He also cherished any time spent enjoying his family and vast network of friends. He finished his professional life as a regional manager for National Motor Club of America.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Lendon, Weldon, and Dennis.
Survivors include two daughters: Beverly Walling and Gary Wambeke of Seymour, Cheryl Elliott and husband Kenny of Seguin, Texas, and one son Donald Walling and wife Angela of Seymour. A sister Doris Beasley Snider and husband Glenn of Wichita Falls, brothers Tommy Walling and wife Joye of Wichita Falls, and Randell Walling of Powell, Wyoming. Seven grandchildren: Blake, Whitney, Trevor, Wade, Calleigh, Joel, Kaden, nine great-grandchildren: Kierslynn, Jenson, Riley, Hannah, Caitlynn, Jetton, Emma, Harley, Lukas, and many nieces and nephews
