Leeland Jessie Schoonover, Jr.

Leeland Jessie “Jack” Schoonover, Jr., 74 of Seymour, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Masonic Cemetery with Benny Archer officiating, followed by military graveside rites, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Jack was born January 11, 1949 in Houston to Leeland and Opal Neely Schoonover, Sr.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked building home from the ground up in Crystal Beach, Texas.  Jack married Edith Davis on March 22, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Schoonover of Seymour; 2 sons, Brian and Michelle Schoonover and Mike and Kari Schoonover all of Seymour; 2 step-children, Mark and Rebecca Davis and Michelle Watkins all of Greenville, South Carolina; a brother, Freddy Karr of Houston; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with 1 on the way.
