Lisa Gaye Gray, 53 of Seymour, passed away on January 13, 2019 at her home in Seymour, Texas surrounded by her family & friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Seymour with Steve Sullwold officiating, with burial immediately following at the Round Timber cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Lisa was born on May 29th, 1965 in Olney, Texas to Bobby and Linda Brock. She was a 1983 graduate of Seymour High School. She attended Southwest Oklahoma State University and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Education from Midwestern State University. Lisa was a teacher for Seymour ISD for 28 years. During the course of her employment, she taught in Early Childhood, Kindergarten, and 2nd grade. Lisa went above and beyond for every student she taught and was a loyal friend to her co-workers who loved and admired her. She also worked part time for Fergeson Drug as a pharmacy tech from high school until 2012 when she acquired her most important job: Gigi.
Lisa married Jimmy Reaves, Jr. on March 3, 1986, in Seymour and they had two sons, Laramie and Charlie. Jimmy passed away February 11th, 2005. Lisa married Ron Gene Gray on November 25th, 2007 in Seymour. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She had a teacher/servant's heart that impacted countless lives - a difference maker in a world that needed her. Lisa loved big, and she loved being a Gigi to her grandbabies, taking care of her family and friends, and enjoying life with her husband Ron. She was also preceded in death by her father, Bobby Brock on December 30, 2016.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Gray of Seymour; 2 sons, Laramie and wife, Jocelyn Reaves, and Charlie and wife, Madison Reaves, all of Seymour; 2 step-sons, Sage Gray and Cord Gray, both of Booker; her mother, Linda Brock of Seymour; a brother, Bobby Charles Brock and wife, Melinda, of New Braunfels, Texas; three Grandchildren, Graham and Laynie Reaves, both of Seymour, and McKenzie Gray of Elkhart, KS; and also many nephews and nieces.
The family suggests memorials to the Round Timber Cemetery Association.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Archer Funeral Home.
