Loren Elmer "Cotton" Daniel, 81 of Seymour, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Seymour.

Services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Ronnie Lawson officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Cotton was born January 1, 1938 in Henrietta to Josh and Lula Goodner Daniel. He worked as a cowboy for the Edwards Ranch for 7 years and the W.T. Waggoner Ranch for over 40 years where he was a member of the cooking team, winning the ranch rodeo in 1988, 89 and 90. Cotton married Billie Turnbow on November 7, 1960 in Amarillo. He loved to fish, cook and gamble and had started to get in to wood working. Cotton adored his kids, grandkids and his little dog, Wylie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josh and Lula Daniel; 2 brothers, Wendy Daniel and Mack Daniel and 2 sisters, Patsy Hagar and Delores Rickman.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Daniel of Seymour; 2 sons, Eddie and Julie Daniel and Shawn Daniel all of Seymour; a daughter, Sherrie (Sis) and Chet Campsey of Vernon; a sister, Carolyn Lancaster of Matador; a brother, Bobby Daniel of Seymour; 10 grandchildren, Amanda and J.D. Henry, Christopher Campsey and Brandy, Kyle and Kaitlyn Campsey, Kandis and Josh Veretto, Christopher and Rebecca Moore, Audry and Tanner Altman, Tammy and Bryan Ray, Brittany and Jerred Slaggle, Monty and Amanda Daniel and Hayley Daniel; and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
