Maldean Masten

Maldean Masten, 91, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, October 09, 2014 in Seymour.

Services will be held Friday, October 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Ford, officiating. Burial will be in the Westover Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Maldean was born August 17, 1923 in Haskell County to Clarence and Vera Poer Benton. She married Rayford Masten on July 4, 1939 in Morton. She was a resident of Maple for 29 years and worked as a bookkeeper in Goodland, before moving Seymour in 1990. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 16, 2005. Maldean loved gardening, yardwork and playing cards.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Barbara Pollard of Douglas, Ok and Katherine Sokora of Cypress; a brother, Lloyd Benton of Arizona; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
