Margaret Russell

Margaret Ann Russell, 73 of Devine, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 in San Antonio.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Rochester Cemetery in Rochester, Texas with Michael Rooks officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Margaret was born on July 4, 1953 in Sherman, Texas to William and Betty Bernard Thompson. She attended beauty school in Abilene and worked for a time as a hairdresser. She later went through the Texas Law Enforcement Academy to get certified to work as a bailiff. Margaret married Ricki Russell on December 6, 1969 in Irving. Ricki passed away on September the 6th. Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Richard Russell and William Russell, both of Austin; her daughter, Chayah and Robert Fernandez of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
