Maria Pilar Gonzalez Arce

Maria Pilar Gonzalez Arce, 62 of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in Seymour.

Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4325 York Street, Wichita Falls, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

Maria was born on January 8, 1963 in San Javier, De Loncomilla, Chile to Arnaldo Eugenio Gonzalez Valdez and Maria Magdalena del Carmen Arce Tolosa. She attended school in Chile and Argentina before coming to the U.S. as a refugee. She finished school in Buffalo, NY where she also attended college. While in Buffalo, she worked for Buffalo Bills in the Stadium and the Rosewood Park Cancer Hospital. Maria moved to Wichita Falls in 2005 and worked briefly at AT&T, the juvenile detention center in Vernon and the Allred Unit in Wichita Falls. Maria loved crafting, crocheting, making jewelry, watching t.v. and always wanted to be the center of attention.

She is survived by her companion, Mike Alvarado of Seymour; 2 daughters, Mercedes Caballero of Wichita Falls and Caithlyn Torres of Seymour; her son, Arnaldo Medina of Tampa Bay, FL; a sister, Lucila Rojas of Wichita Falls and 4 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Archer Funeral Home.
