Mary Eleanor Parker Barham Jackson, 98, of Seymour passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 in Seymour.

Services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Red Springs Baptist Church with Benny Archer officiating. Burial will be in the Henson Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Mary was born the 4th of 5 children on November 21, 1918 in Red Springs to G.K. and Mary Tucker Parker. She attended Red Springs and Seymour Schools. She married A.H. Barham in Baylor County. Mary worked on the family farm until 1953 when she went to work as a group mother at Buckners Orphans Home in Dallas until 1964. She married J.W. Jackson in 1964 in Mesquite. Upon her marriage, she became a homemaker and worked in child care at Highland Baptist Church in Waco. She returned to Baylor County in 2009 to be close to family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, A.H. and J.W.; a sister, Esther Russell; 3 brothers, Jim Parker, Red Parker and Buck Parker and a son, George Russell Barham.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Allen B Slate of Seymour; 8 grandchildren, Bobby Slate, Ed Slate, Ricky Barham, Jerry Barham, Michelle Barham Phelps, Rusty Barham, Jr. and Steve Cummings; 20 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild; 2 nieces, JoAnn Hitt and Mary Frances Miller; and a nephew, Gene Parker.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
