Mary Ann Richeson Redder passed from this life on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the age of 97.

Mass will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bose Jujuvarapu and Deacon Jim Novak officiating.  Burial will be in the Bomarton Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Mary Ann was born to Roy and Ella Pavlicek Richeson on June 17, 1926 in Seymour.  Known to her friends as Bunny, Mary Ann was thought to have the gift of gab and anyone who knew her appreciated her quick wit and sense of humor.  She attended Seymour schools, followed by Texas Women’s University, where she received a Bachelors degree in Sports and Exercise.  Following college, she returned to Seymour and began working for 1st National Bank, now People’s Bank.  During this period of time, she resumed her love of horses, riding through the pasture of the family’s property, on her much beloved horse, Buddy.  Mary Ann was also a member of the Seymour Remuda Club and enjoyed riding in parades in neighboring towns.

Mary Ann married Raymond Redder of Rhineland in May of 1957 and shortly after experienced farm life when they purchased their home and land.  The couple were blessed with 2 children, a daughter in 1958 and a son in 1959.  Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ella Richeson and her husband, Raymond Redder in 2022.

She is survived by her 2 children, Suzanne (Bo) and David all of Seymour; 5 grandchildren, Rusty, Dustin (Sarah), Justin (Cassie), Brody (Heidi) and Erik (Jaelyn, as well as 11 great grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Billy and Jeanene Redder.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
