Mike Morgan, 49, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 .

Services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. , at the First Baptist Church with Laprell Burns and Rev. Jimmy Rogers, officiating. Burial will in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Mike was born September 13, 1964 in Seymour to George and Gloria Battles Morgan. He attended school in Weatherford where he rode bulls as a member of the rodeo team. Mike also broke horses during this time. He moved to Seymour in 1985, working as a mechanic, a farmer and a rancher. He married Jerri Ann Niell on March 13, 1987 in Seymour. Mike loved all kinds of animals, the wilder the better. He was a member of the Goree Baptist Church. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Studer and a brother, George Randal Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Jerri Ann Morgan of Seymour; 3 daughters, Alecia Crystal Pratt and husband, Brad of Cozumel, Mexico, Tanya Montana Morgan and Tyler Marak of Seymour, and Heather Cheyenne Morgan of Wichita Falls; a son, Michael Dakota Morgan of Seymour; his father, George Morgan and wife, Janice of Weatherford; 3 sisters, Amanda Morgan, Lacy Morgan and Holly Morgan, all of Weatherford; a step-brother, Stephen Birchfield of Weatherford; and 7 grandchildren, Bradley, Tyanna, Tristen, Ashten, Shiloh, Corbin and Tucker.

The family suggests memorials to the Goree Baptist Church Youth.

Visitation will be from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
