Nancy Stroud, 70 of Throckmorton passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 in Throckmorton.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Rafter R Cemetery outside of Throckmorton with Gene King officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Nancy was born January 14, 1950 in Olney to Robert Ezra and Nina Marlee (Brogdon) Everett. She lived in Throckmorton most of her life. Nancy met Larry Stroud and the couple married on March 22, 1966 in Throckmorton. They had 3 sons. Nancy attended LVN school in 1975 and worked in the nursing field until retiring in 2007. Nancy loved her family and always made sure they had a good hot supper. She loved fishing, hunting (frogs), working in her flower beds and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ezra and Nina Marlee Everett, her husband, Larry Wayne Stroud, one son, Robert Wayne Stroud, one sister, Wanda Lou Atkinson and one sister-in-law, Sandra Bass.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Larry Charles Stroud and wife, Leslie of Graham and Michael Duard "Buddy" Stroud of Throckmorton; 2 sisters, Neamona cook of Throckmorton and Tish Bell and husband, Bill of Wichita Falls; a sister - in-law, Lana Jo Lacy and husband, Walter of Plano; 4 grandchildren, Chelsea Stroud and James Lopez, Mikeala Stroud, Bodie Stroud and Marlee Stroud; one great grandson, Conlee Neil Lopez, numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful dog, Rowdy.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
