Norman Claborne Gooding

Norman Claborne Gooding, 74 of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

The family will hold a graveside service on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Riverview Cemetery.  Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Norman was born on July 14, 1949 in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia to Norman B. and Clara Barton Reynolds Gooding.  He attended grade school and junior high in Oklahoma and high school in Texas.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He worked as a truck driver, for nearly all the large companies at one time or another.  He was preceded in death by his son, Norman “Denny” Gooding; 2 sisters, Sue Prince and Sherry Brasher and 2 brothers, Bill Self and Olen Gooding.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
