Olivia J Harvey

Olivia Jane Harvey, 70 of Throckmorton, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 in Throckmorton.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Throckmorton Assembly of God with Rev. Eddy Hooker officiating. Burial will be in the Proffitt Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Olivia was born December 26, 1948 in Olney to H.T. and Verna Hudson Lawson. She was a graduate of Throckmorton High School. Olivia received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview and a Master's degree from WTU in Canyon in Early Childhood Education. She taught Pr-K and Kindergarten from over 45 years, 35 of which were spent teaching at Oak Dale Elementary in Amarillo. She married Stephen Harvey in 1970 in Plainview. She was a member of the More Church in Amarillo. Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, H.T. and Verna Lawson and her husband, Stephen Harvey.

She is survived by a son, Michael Stephen Harvey of Curritos, California; a daughter, Kandice Word of Throckmorton; 3 sisters, Connie Barrington of Throckmorton, Elizabeth Wilson of Midway and Lois Hooker of Waco; a brother, Terry Lawson of Throckmorton; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God in Throckmorton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Throckmorton High School Ex Students Scholarship Fund.
