Oren Shirley

Oren Junior Shirley, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 in Seymour, Texas.

Services will be held a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Oren was born on January 14, 1946 in Oklahoma to James Box and Evelyn McKnight. He was raised in Littlefield by his mother and grandmother, Grace Williams. Oren was a welder and an oilfield tank builder for 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William (Billy) Wake and a grandson, Anthony David Gray.

Survivors include his 3 sons, Russell and Melody Shirley of and Bruce Shirley all of Waco and Donnie Wake of New Mexico; a daughter, Ann Gray of Seymour; his grandchildren, Matt Shirley, Nathan Gray, Patrick and Cameron Pack, Caitlin Shirley, Chloe Shirley and Justin Harvey; a brother, Dale Weems and a sister, Connie Maddison.
