Oscar "Buddy" Jackson

Oscar “Buddy” Jackson III, 81, of Iowa Park, Texas, met his Lord and Savior on June 16, 2026.

Buddy was born July 2, 1944 in Jacksboro, Texas to Oscar and Vivian Jackson. Oscar attended Texas A&M where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. He went into the Navy and served a tour in Vietnam. He returned home to work at Jackson Oilfield Construction with his dad and brother then he became an investment planner before retiring.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Oscar Jackson Jr. and Vivian Ruth Riggs Jackson, his brother Billy Ted Jackson and his granddaughter Julie Marie Simek.

Buddy is survived by his daughter Carrie Jackson and partner Jesse Otremba of New Mexico, daughter Cathy Simek and husband Jimmy Simek of Seymour, Texas, grandchildren Jacob Simek, Jessica Lane and husband Michael, and Jordan Simek all of Seymour, Texas, great-grandchildren Joseph, Robert and David Lane.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Ronald McDonald House 1001 8th Ave Fort Worth, Texas 76104.

A private family graveside service will be planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
