Patricia Ann Wyatt Groves July 11, 1940 – May 9, 2025 Patricia Ann Wyatt Groves, known lovingly as Patsy, passed away in Wichita Falls, Texas, after a long battle with dementia. She was 84 years old.
Patsy was born on July 11, 1940, to the Rev. Elton Wyatt and Cleta Womack Wyatt. As the daughter of a Methodist minister, Patsy had the privilege of living in many different towns, including Trent, Cactus, Mobeetie, Amherst and Snyder. It was in Snyder where she met and married Leonard Groves at Trinity Methodist Church in 1959. Leonard and Patsy made their home in Morton, Tx where she served the church as the organist and church secretary. She later went to work at First State Bank in Morton. Upon retirement, Leonard and Patsy moved back to Snyder where she continued her service to the First United Methodist Church as the organist. Patsy had a true servant's heart. Her love for God and her church was shown by her many years of faithful service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Elton and Cleta Wyatt, her husband Leonard, sons-in-law, James Park and Kenny Kittrell, and brother Jerry Wyatt. She leaves behind a daughter, Patti Kittrell of Lubbock, son Jeff Groves and wife Deidra of Seymour, 4 grandchildren, Tanner Park and wife Alisha of Rotan, Lauren Park of Lubbock, Trey Groves and wife Rachel of Guthrie and Shelby Urbanczyk and husband Kyler of Seymour. Her love will live on in the hearts of her 10 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Melody Wyatt, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family and friends will forever remember her warm heart and the grace she bestowed on everyone around her.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Methodist Church in Snyder, Texas on Saturday May 17 at 2:00 p.m..
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service on Saturday at the Trinity Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Beyond Faith Hospice in Wichita Falls.
