Pawnee J Nickerson

Pawnee Jo Nickerson, age 86, of Seymour, Texas passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 in Seymour Hospital with her family present.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour, with David Warren and Russell Roberts officiating: visitation will follow.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Pawnee was born July 21, 1933 in Seymour, Texas to R.B. Payne and Callie Stoneman Payne. She married Floyd Nickerson on May 8, 1949. Floyd preceded her in death.

She worked as a Legal Secretary and owned & operated Retail Merchants Association / Credit Bureau in Seymour for 46 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of Co-Eds for Christ Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her son, Jerry and wife Brenda of Seymour; one granddaughter, Ginger Miller of Archer City; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kolton Miller of Archer City; nieces, Rhona Brown of Wichita Falls, Lanette Terrell and husband Tommy of Magnolia, Texas, and Holly Oliver of Burkburnett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Seymour, Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour, or Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
