Peggy J Lee

Peggy Joyce Lee, 88, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Catoosa, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 in the Vera Cemetery with her son, Dwight Shipman officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Prior to the services, a visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Peggy was born February 20, 1928 in Vera to Gus and Bessie Hollabaugh Hobbs. She attended the Vera Schools. She worked as a dispatcher and jailer for the Ochiltree County Sherriff's Department. She was a Protestant. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Lee and a son, Bruce Shipman.

She is survived by 2 sons, Dwight Shipman and wife, Julie A. of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Bill Shipman of Denison; a daughter, Debbie Gaffron and husband, Fred of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Doris Stewart and Jewell Murphree, both of Midland; a brother, Leon Hobbs of Jal, New Mexico; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
