Justin Copeland

Phillip Justin Copeland, 64 of Seymour, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 in Seymour.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverview Cemetery with Shannon Gresham officiating under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Justin was born on December 25, 1961 in Seymour to Clave and Ellen Christmas Copeland. He attended school in Seymour. Justin was a self-employed welder all his life. He attended the Goree Baptist Church. Justin married the love of his life, Gena Caussey, on August 19, 1984 in Seymour. He loved his dogs, working on trailers, drinking Diet Dr. Peppers and cooking steaks at the restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights.

Justin was preceded in death by his parents, Clave and Ellen Copeland; 2 brothers, Allen Copeland and Mike Copeland and a sister, Debbie Middough.

He is survived by his wife, Gena Copeland of Seymour; 3 children, Chad and Darian Copeland of Seymour, Kristi and Scotty Sanchez of Seymour and Wade Copeland of Wichita Falls; a brother, Rodger Copeland of Munday and 10 grandchildren, Lilyan, Payton, Rowen, Natalie, Brynlee, Anthony, Cody, Rylyn, Raidyn and McKynli.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
