Robert Coffman

Robert Coffman, 72, of Vera passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vera Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Ford officiating. A private burial was in the Vera Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

Robert was born July 5, 1944 in Seymour to Olen and Frances Wirz Coffmann. He was a 1962 graduate of Benjamin High School. Robert received a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Midwestern State University. He taught for 40 years, 20 in Wichita Falls, 10 in Goree and 10 in Benjamin. He was also a farmer. Robert married Marilyn Rogers on June 14, 1980 in Oklaunion. He was a member of the Vera Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Coffman of Vera; 2 sons, Hardy Coffman of Denver, Co and Matthew Coffman of Snyder; a daughter, Shelley Specht of Vashti, Tx; 3 sisters, Marianne Rollins of Denton, Eileen (Jackie) Lane of Archer City and Barbara Moore of Seymour; and 1 brother, Olen (Pud) Coffman, Jr. of Seymour.

The family suggests memorials to the Vera Cemetery Association or the Rathgeber Hospitality House, 1615 12th Street, Wichita Falls, Tx 76301.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
