Sarah Eugenia "Jean" (Reed) Slaggle

Jean Slaggle, 87 of Seymour, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Warren officiating.  Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Jean was born September 15, 1937 in Navarro County, Texas to Billie and Virgie Harper Reed.  She attended school in Frost, Texas and graduated high school in Ft. Worth.  Jean married Toby Slaggle on October 31, 1964 in Seymour.  She was an accomplished home baker who had a home baking/catering business for many years.  Jean was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and was very involved with the Old Settler’s Reunion.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Toby on March 17, 2008; her parents, Billy and Virgie Reed; 2 sisters, Virginia Prine and Mary Jenkins and 2 grandsons, Cody Bill Slaggle in 1987 and Jacob Slaggle in 1992.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Billie and Lita Slaggle, Shan and Marty Slaggle and Reed and Nicki Slaggle all of Seymour; 7 grandchildren, Kara and Aaron Loftin, Katie and Victor Arellano, Blake and Madison Slaggle, Rachael and Derek Hons, Sarah and Shawn Sanchez, Maggie and Dalton Pullin and Nick Slaggle and girlfriend, Micah Lindstrom and 17 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Seymour Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 562, Seymour, Texas 76380.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
