Sherry Kuehler Hons, 63 of Seymour, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Seymour.
Services have changed to a graveside service on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the SPJST Cemetery with Father Bose Jujuvarapu and Deacon Jim Novak officiating under the direction of Archer Funeral Home .
Sherry was born October 26, 1957 in Knox City to Larry and Maxine Henson Kuehler. She was a graduate of Munday High School. Sherry married the love of her life, Christopher Wayne Hons on February 24, 1979 in Rhineland. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2018. She worked as a teacher’s aide for Seymour ISD and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sherry’s love of her children was only surpassed by that of her love for her grandchildren, her dog and granddogs. She loved her brothers, sisters and nieces and nephews and stepped into the role of matriarch of the family, in many ways, after the passing of her mother. Sherry had this warmth about her that seemed to draw people to her and always maintained a positive outlook on life that in turn encouraged those around her. You didn’t have to be a blood relation to be considered family to Sherry. If she loved you, you were family, this extended throughout the community and within the school system. Sherry was also preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Maxine Kuehler; 2 brothers, her twin, Jerry Kuehler and Tim Kuehler.
She is survived by 2 sons, Brian and Meagan Hons of Seymour and Eric and Kelly Hons of Ft. Worth; a daughter, Kristin Hons of Seymour; a brother, Mark and Teresa Kuehler of Benjamin; 2 sisters, Pat Kuehler and Corrine and Michael Richter all of Burkburnett and K.K. and Rodney Ritchie of Wichita Falls and 5 grandchildren, Madi, Levi, Lily, Caleb and Ty.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Mosler Hall.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
