Alvin Eugene Hendershot, Jr.

Alvin Eugene Hendershot, Jr. 41 of Wichita Falls, Tx passed away Sunday, September 18th, 2022 in Wichita Falls.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at 11:00am at the First Christian Church is Seymour, TX with Benny Archer officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Alvin Eugene Hendershot Jr. was born October 22, 1980 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the Fort Sill Army Hospital to Alvin and Sylvia Hendershot.  The family moved to Seymour when Alvin Jr. was 6 years old. Following High School, Alvin Jr. went to work in the oilfield industry. After retiring from the oilfield industry, Alvin Jr. then pursued a career in steel metal fabrication with Kelly Kinnibrugh and Woody Elliott. Alvin Jr. then moved to Wichita Falls, TX in 2018.  Alvin Jr. was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Edna Johnson of Seymour, TX. Leslie and Billie Hendershot of Tuskahoma, Ok.

Survivors include his mother, Sylvia Hendershot of Wichita Falls, Tx. His father, Alvin Eugene Hendershot Sr. of Arkansas. Three brothers, Trayce Hendershot of Abilene, David Hendershot of Abilene, Kenneth and Jessica Hendershot of Petrolia. Two sisters, Stayce and Clay O’Neal of Burkburnett, Jewel Smejkal of Colorado. A son, Alvin Eugene Hendershot III of San Antonio area, Two daughters, Jodee Hendershot of Lubbock, Hailee Hendershot of Montana. Children of his heart, Andrew Shackelford, Christopher Shackelford, Kaycee Coleman and Kaydence Coleman and several nieces and nephews that uncle A.J. loved dearly.

Alvin Jr’s. favorite things to do in his past time were going fishing, art, building things and working on cars. He never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. Was always willing to help others. Most of all he loved his kids, nieces and nephews. You’re no longer by our sides but forever in our hearts Superman.
