Becky (Garner) Christian

Becky Christian, 68 of Seymour passed away Monday, February 01, 2021 in Seymour.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Vera Cemetery with Dr. David Warren officiating under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Rebecca Sue Garner Christian was born to Patsy and JW Garner in Hamilton, Texas on November 6, 1952.  She was a 1971 graduate of Seymour High School.  She then attended Cisco College and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree and was co-captain on the Wrangler Belles drill team.  She married Steve Christian (her next door neighbor) on May 20, 1973.  The couple had two sons, Chris and Calvin.  She then attended Midwestern State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree on May 11, 1991 with honors in the top ten percent of her class.  She loved her kids and taught first grade for 20 years, 18 of those in the Tomball school district.  She retired in 2012 and Steve and Becky moved back to Seymour.  Becky’s favorite things were her family, school kids and Bunco.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Christian; her sons, Chris Christian and Calvin Christian and wife, Brooke; a grandson, Connor; her mother, Patsy Garner; a sister, Toni Garner; a brother, Rocky Garner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
