Bertrand Martin Danos, Jr.

Bertrand Martin Danos, Jr., 87 of Plano, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 in Seymour.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Seymour with Father Bose Jujuvarapu officiating.  Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Seymour under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Bertrand was born on December 3, 1934 in New Orleans to Bertrand and Roberta Bouton Danos.  He graduated from high school in New Orleans and received a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette.  He worked for Mutual of Omaha in insurance sales all his life.  Bertrand married Ruby Ayala on May 26, 1973 in Lafayette.  He was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Plano.  Bertrand enjoyed hunting dove and duck and going fishing, but cooking was his passion.  He was a very involved Poppy and granddaddy.  He loved attending anything involving his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He also loved playing cards and dominos.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertrand and Roberta Danos; his first wife, Jane Anne Raymond Danos; 2 sons, Bertrand Martin Danos, III and Damien David Danos and 2 siblings, Lorraine Blackburn and Timothy John Danos.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Danos of Plano; 5 children, Lisa Danos of Kauffman, Leslie and Greg Hardin of Seymour, Carla and Sean Burke of Frisco, Jeanne Tallmadge of Plano and Desmond and Ashley Danos of El Lago, Texas; 3 brothers, Joseph Danos, Gerard Danos and Michael Danos; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
