Betty Jo (Brock) Posey

Betty Jo Posey, age 81, made a peaceful transition to be with her Lord on January 4, 2021 at home with family by her side.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Round Timber Pavilion in Round Timber with Bryan Roland officiating  Arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Betty Jo was born on November 20, 1939 in Spring Creek, Texas to Paul and Tennie Morris Brock.  She was a graduate of Seymour High School.  Betty Jo married Wayne Posey on December 22, 1957.  The couple moved to Sterling City in the mid 1960’s where she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper.  Upon her husband’s retirement, they moved back to her family’s farm in Round Timber in 1992.  Betty Jo was very strong in her faith and was known for always putting others first and her forgiving nature.  She also loved all of her critters that she had through the years.

Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Tennie Brock; her husband, Wayne Posey; brothers, Bobby Brock, Cleve Brock, Curtis Brock, Harold Brock and Buddy Brock and a sister, Novella Brock.

Survivors include her daughter and best friend, Kristi Roland and husband, Bryan; her son, Paul Posey and wife, Lori; her 4 grandchildren who she loved very much, Alishia, Andi, Caleb and Kody; and her 6 great grandchildren, Truitt, Tristan, Mila, Vivian, Ricky and Lucy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Betty Jo’s name to the ASPCA, the Humane Society or the World Wildlife Federation.
